LIC gets new MDs
FSIB refers M Jagannath & Tablesh Pandey as managing directors after interviewing 6 EDs

Mumbai: Financial Services Institution Bureau (FSIB) has recommended the names of M Jagannath, the zonal head of South Central Zone of LIC, and Tablesh Pandey (who is currently working in the actuarial department of LIC at its corporate office) as new managing directors of the Corporation.
Even though falling third in the seniority, Jagannath will be taking over as new MD at the Corporation first, while Pamdey will have to wait for a couple of months to take over his new assignment. In toto, six EDs were interviewed by FSIB on January 30 for the post of two MDs of LIC.
The serving MD, Raj Kumar, who is currently on an extension, will be hanging up his boots on January 31. Another MD, BC Pattnaik will also be retiring within next few months. In case, the government appoints one of the serving MDs as chairman to replace, MR Kumar, whose term occluded in next couple of months, then another post of MD will become vacant at LIC. As of now, there are four MDs at the Corporation.
